Before paying for programming, check the cheap thing first. If one fob failed and another still works, the battery in the failed one is the most likely cause by a wide margin. If both stopped at once, that points at the vehicle rather than the fobs.
When a fob genuinely needs replacing, key fob replacement means pairing it to your specific vehicle — a fob from an identical car will not work until it is programmed. We carry blanks for most makes and handle the car key programming on site.
Fobs also fail from water and heat, and South Florida provides both. A fob that has been in a pool or left on a dashboard in August will often work intermittently for a while before it stops.

Common questions
Can you make a car key if I have lost every key?
Yes — that is our specialty. With no working key, the key is originated from the vehicle's key code and the immobiliser is programmed from scratch. Bring your driver's licence and the vehicle registration so we can confirm ownership. Call with the year, make and model and we will confirm on the phone whether it is a job we complete on site.
Do I need to tow my car to the dealer for a lost key?
In most cases, no. A mobile locksmith with the right equipment can originate a key at the vehicle, so there is no tow and no dealer appointment. There are a small number of makes and model years where the dealer is genuinely the right answer, and we will tell you if yours is one of them rather than take the job and find out.
What do you need from me before you come out?
The year, make and model of the vehicle, and the VIN if you can read it through the base of the windscreen. For a home or business call, the number of locks and the hardware brand if you know it. That is what lets us quote a real range instead of a guess.
What identification do I need for a car key?
A driver's licence and the vehicle registration. If the vehicle is a rental, the rental agreement works in place of the registration. Originating a key to a car is exactly the kind of capability that has to be handled carefully, so this is not negotiable.
