Tesla car key replacement
Tesla does not use a conventional immobiliser or a cut key. Model 3 and Model Y use a key card and phone key; Model S and Model X use a fob. Pairing is done through the vehicle's own menus rather than a diagnostic tool.
Every Tesla key we supply is cut to the vehicle and finished with car key programming on site. A key that opens the door but will not start the engine is only half the job.

Common questions
Can you make a car key if I have lost every key?
Yes — that is our specialty. With no working key, the key is originated from the vehicle's key code and the immobiliser is programmed from scratch. Bring your driver's licence and the vehicle registration so we can confirm ownership. Call with the year, make and model and we will confirm on the phone whether it is a job we complete on site.
Do I need to tow my car to the dealer for a lost key?
In most cases, no. A mobile locksmith with the right equipment can originate a key at the vehicle, so there is no tow and no dealer appointment. There are a small number of makes and model years where the dealer is genuinely the right answer, and we will tell you if yours is one of them rather than take the job and find out.
What do you need from me before you come out?
The year, make and model of the vehicle, and the VIN if you can read it through the base of the windscreen. For a home or business call, the number of locks and the hardware brand if you know it. That is what lets us quote a real range instead of a guess.
