Locksmith guide

Car lockout in South Florida: what to do while you wait.

A car lockout almost always happens at the worst possible time. Keys locked inside, a dead fob battery, a door that won't open — whatever the cause, the situation is fixable. Here's how to handle it well.

First: don't try to force it

The most expensive outcomes we see come from customers who tried to open the car themselves before calling. Bent door frames, scratched window seals, and broken lock rods all cost more to fix than the lockout service itself. Modern vehicles are well-sealed and not as easy to pop as older ones — what works in a YouTube video usually doesn't work on a 2018 or newer car.

Call a locksmith — then stay with the vehicle

Call (954) 842-6920 and give us your location, make, model, and year. We'll tell you whether we have the right tools for your car and give you an honest ETA before we roll. Then stay with the vehicle — especially if it's in a parking lot, a lot at night, or in an unfamiliar area.

What to have ready

When we arrive, we'll need to verify you own or are authorized to use the vehicle. Have your driver's license ready. If it's a rental, the rental agreement works. Most car lockouts in South Florida are resolved without any damage to the door or window in under 15–20 minutes once a technician arrives.

What we do

We use non-damaging entry tools designed for modern vehicle door and lock systems. We don't use slim jims or coat hangers on modern cars — those cause damage. Once you're back in, we'll check that the door seals correctly before we leave.
